Down Week
Taken down with a stomach virus so not much excitement to share this week. The timing coincided with an exam week so plenty of time spent on the couch and in the notes. Balancing studies with this big year of racing ahead at times feels more than difficult but the balance keeps me grounded and well rounded as more than just an athlete. Sickness is always rough but coming off a block with lots of exciting PRs I wasn’t left bothered or stressed about my level or feeling behind.
I bounced back for a sunny endurance day Saturday and skirting the weather with a small but cohesive group for a Sunday APT session. I then did some “cross-training” - moving furniture and painting. I’m just now able to put a shirt on with writhing in pain.
I’m excited to get the legs rearing again.
