Boise Twilight

+SPEEDCLUB MEDIA

This week, with a quick turnaround (he’s getting used to these), MG headed west to Boise for the famous Boise Twilight. Boise Twilight is a .5 mile, 4 turn crit, and the absolute fastest race in the US. The guys averaged a whopping 31 miles per hour. The race proved to be an unforgettable night under the stars, with MG delivering an outstanding performance amidst a massive and electrifying crowd.

The race itself was a thrilling rollercoaster, marked by a series of dramatic splits that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. MG played a crucial role in towing back breakaway moves for his old friend Luke Lamperti. Unfortunately, it was another mass gallup to the line with MG rolling in a respectable top 10.

It was a nice way to wrap up the “crit season” as we look ahead to some of the biggest gravel events in the US.  SBT GRVL is a month away!

MGR CORNER

Hey Everyone!

I’m writing to you from the beautiful area of north Idaho. I’m up here with my girlfriend's family for a midseason reset after Boise Twilight last weekend.. You heard that right, a break!!

Twilight this past weekend was a fantastic race. The night was absolutely the fastest race I’ve ever done, the flat 4-turn loop carrying loads of momentum. On such a short course it was truly on the brink of making us dizzy, something I've definitely never experienced.

With so much momentum, no huge moves got away, but it still remained an incredibly attacking style race. I did some work in the final for my friend Luke, as he is a much faster finisher than I and we wanted to see him win over the big teams there on the night. Some big crashes marred the final lap but overall still a fantastic night. It was an incredible atmosphere with huge crowds and an electric energy.

Idaho is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. Mornings on the mountain bike (sometimes taking the lift up), and afternoons on the boat. It’s been such an incredible first half of the year, and relaxing and soaking up the accomplishments of Spring is a fantastic feeling.

I’m here for a while before heading home for the big rides we have planning the July! Hope everyone has a great July 4th weekend.

Happy riding,

MG
